As fábulas e os valores sociais em contexto pré-escolar

Abstract

No âmbito da prática profissional inserida no Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar, implementou-se um projeto de educação para os valores morais e sociais num grupo de crianças de um jardim de infância do concelho de Viana do Castelo. Neste projeto pretendeu-se verificar se as fábulas eram uma estratégia adequada para sensibilizar e incutir nas crianças os valores socialmente aceites. Neste sentido, foram definidos os seguintes objetivos: 1) Perceber a recetividade das crianças para a compreensão das fábulas; 2) Aferir se as crianças conseguem identificar o valor contemplado em cada fábula; 3) Averiguar se as fábulas contribuem para a formação de valores nas crianças. Neste estudo optou-se por uma metodologia de investigação de natureza qualitativa e utilizaram-se como técnicas de recolha de dados a observação participante, notas de campo, filmagens, fotografias e registos gráficos das crianças. O procedimento de análise privilegiado foi a análise de conteúdo. A recolha de dados foi iniciada através de um percurso pedagógico constituído por tarefas e sub-tarefas, enquadradas na Prática de Ensino Supervisionada II e implementado entre março e maio. Como conclusão principal deste estudo constata-se o entusiasmo e capacidade de compreensão manifestada pelas crianças perante o género narrativo: fábulas. As crianças mostravam interesse e curiosidade pelo valor transmitido pelas fábulas, aspeto refletido nas atividades que lhes eram inerentes. Foi possível verificar que houve uma evolução bastante significativa desde o início do estudo até à sua concretização ao nível das relações interpessoais das crianças umas com as outras e com os adultos. As relações entre as crianças tornaram-se mais harmoniosas, partilham o material e os brinquedos sem conflitos, é notório um maior respeito pelos adultos e pelos amigos, todos se entreajudam nas tarefas da sala e os laços de amizade no grupo emergem cada dia mais fortificados. Em suma, pode-se concluir que as fábulas foram um ótimo recurso pedagógico para sensibilizar as crianças para os valores da partilha, respeito, entreajuda e amizade.

In the context of the professional practice inserted in the master’s degree in Preschool Education, an education project was implemented for the moral and social values in a children group of a kindergarten of the municipality of Viana do Castelo. In this project, it was intended to verify if the fables were an adapted strategy for the children in order to sensitize and inculcate them the values socially accepted. This way, were defined the following objectives: 1) To understand the children’s receptiveness for the understanding of the fables; 2) To survey if the children are able to identify the value contemplated in each fable; 3) To inquire if the fables contribute for the training of values for the children. In this study, it was opted for an investigation methodology of qualitative nature and had been used techniques like collecting data where the participant comments, field notes, filmings, photographs, and graphical registers of the children. The privileged procedure of analysis was the content analysis. Collecting the data has been initiated through a pedagogical way constituted of tasks and sub-tasks, fitting the Supervised Practice of Education II implemented between March and May. As main conclusion of this study is evidenced the apparent enthusiasm and understanding capacity towards the narrative kind: fables. The children were showing interest and curiosity for the transmitted value from the fables, aspect reflected in the activities which were inherent for them. It was possible to verify that it had an evolution quite significant from the start of the study to its end at the level of the interpersonal relations of children ones with the others and with the adults. Relations between children became more harmonious, the material and the toys are shared without conflicts, a bigger respect for the adults and the friends is noticed, they help each other in the tasks of the room, the friendship’s laces in the group are growing each day. To conclude, we can say that the fables were an excellent pedagogical resource in order to sensitize the children for the values of share, respect, friendship and mutual help.
