Recriação histórica: a citânia de Briteiros - estudo de caso

Abstract

As recriações históricas têm tido um considerável crescimento nos últimos anos e surgem como forma de transmitir as tradições de uma região e de promover a cultura local, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento e enriquecimento da região. Estas atividades têm-se vindo a revelar elementos importantes para a dinamização de sítios arqueológicos e centros históricos, promovendo o comércio, recuperando o artesanato e divulgando o património turístico-cultural. Este estudo teve como base o evento “Recriação Histórica da Citânia de Briteiros - Citânia Viva” realizado em julho de 2015, tendo-se recorrido a inquéritos por questionário efetuados aos visitantes da atividade, à entrevista, à pesquisa documental, à observação e às notas de campo. O estudo teve como finalidades estudar o evento cultural, em particular a composição, a origem e a afluência do público, valorizar turística e culturalmente a Citânia de Briteiros, divulgar a Cultura Castreja e divulgar o projeto. Pretendeu-se entender o contexto histórico em que o evento está inserido, bem como os meios culturais e artísticos envolvidos, nomeadamente a ação da comunidade e da rede associativa de entidades que trabalham diretamente com o projeto. Procurou-se verificar a eficácia da recriação histórica como ferramenta de sensibilização para a defesa do património. Os resultados obtidos no presente estudo permitiram caracterizar o tipo de público que visita a Citânia Viva e revelaram que a Recriação Histórica constitui um estímulo para a preservação dos valores patrimoniais e é igualmente uma excelente oportunidade para o desenvolvimento social, artístico e cultural e não tanto económico da região. Este evento mostra um potencial didático importante para o público em geral, permitindo uma observação muito particular do património histórico e da história local. O objetivo deste evento não assenta no aspeto comercial e de propaganda, mas sim em atrair um público que procura conhecimento. Esta atividade é um meio de promoção e de visibilidade nacional, que poderá permitir projetar a Região, o Museu da Cultura Castreja e a Citânia de Briteiros para um patamar superior de atração turística.

The historical recreations have been showing up a substantial growth during the last years, and they appear as a way of transmitting the traditions of a region, promoting the local culture, giving a large contribution to the development and enrichment of the region. These activities have been showing, since then, that they are important elements to the promotion of archaeological sites and historic centers, since they promote commerce, recover the handicraft and disclose the tourism and cultural heritage. This Study was based on the event “Recriação Histórica da Citânia de Briteiros - Citânia Viva”, which took place in july 2015. The methods used were questionnaire surveys, interviews, search documentaries, observation and field notes, applied to the visitors during the event. The main purpose of this Study is both the analysis of the cultural event, particularly its composition, origin and public affluence, and the tourist and cultural appreciation of the Briteiros’ Citânia, as well as the disclosure of the Castro culture and of the project itself. The intention was to understand the historical context in which the event had been inserted, as well as the cultural and artistic means involved, such as the community dynamics and the associative networks of entities that work directly with the project. It was also intended to verify the efficiency of the historical recreation as awareness appliance to the patrimony’s defense. The results obtained in this Study permitted the characterization of the kind of public that visits Briteiros’ Citânia, revealing that the Historical Recreation constitutes a stimulus to the patrimonial value’s preservation, equally being an excellent opportunity to the social, artistic, cultural and somewhat economic developments of the region. This event shows a didactic potential that is important to the public, allowing a rather particular sight of the historical patrimony and the local history. The event’s purpose is not solely the commercial and propaganda aspects; instead, it is sought an attraction of knowledge striving public. This activity serves as a way of national promotion and visibility, which allows the projection of the region, Castro Culture Museum and Briteiros’ Citânia to the next level of touristic attraction.
