Do manual escolar ao conhecimento do meio local: experiência pedagógica

Abstract

O presente relatório foi desenvolvido no âmbito da unidade curricular Prática de Ensino Supervisionada II, do curso de mestrado em Educação Pré-escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. “Do manual escolar ao conhecimento do meio local: experiência pedagógica” é o título deste relatório. O principal objetivo é perceber a importância que uma turma, os seus encarregados de educação e os professores, da mesma escola, atribuem ao manual escolar e qual o processo de trabalho pedagógico que desenvolvem em torno dele. Numa primeira fase recorremos a inquéritos por questionários, para perceber a importância atribuída a este recurso educativo, assim como analisamos o manual adotado. Na segunda fase realizamos atividades pedagógicas, que nos levaram a construir um pequeno manual/livro, relativo ao Património histórico local, com ênfase na cidade de Viana do Castelo, para que os alunos pudessem ter um suporte, de fácil consulta, relativo a esta temática de Estudo do Meio. A nível metodológico, este estudo, baseou-se numa abordagem qualitativa com contornos de investigação-ação. Através da análise de dados recolhidos verificou-se o gosto dos alunos pela área de Estudo do Meio. Também constatamos que o manual escolar assume muita importância para os alunos, professores e encarregados de educação. Nas atividades de conhecimento do meio local os alunos revelaram consciência, empatia e cidadania patrimonial. Este relatório apresenta uma estrutura por capítulos, de modo a facilitar o entendimento dos diferentes procedimentos realizados durante a investigação. Desde a contextualização da PES II, passando posteriormente à apresentação do trabalho de investigação e finalizando com uma reflexão relativa à PES I e II.

This report was developed in the context of curricular unit Supervised Teaching Practice II, of the masters course in Preschool Education and Teaching of the 1ST Cycle of Basic Education. "The school manual to knowledge of the local environment: pedagogical experience" is the title of this report. The main objective is to understand the importance of class, their parents and teachers, at the same school they attach to school manual and this process of pedagogical work that develop around it. In a first phase we use the surveys, in order to realize the importance attributed to this educational resource and analyzed the manual adopted. In the second phase we conducted educational activities, which led us to build a small manual or book on the historic heritage site, with emphasis on city of Viana do Castelo, so that the students could have a support, easy to consult on this topic of the environment study. At a methodological level, this study was based on a qualitative approach with contours of action research. Through the analysis of data collected there was the taste of the students in the area of Environment Study. Also we note that the school manual assumes great importance for students, teachers and parents. In the knowledge of the local environment activities the students showed awareness, empathy and citizenship patrimonial. This report presents a framework for chapters, in order to facilitate the understanding of the different procedures performed during the investigation. Since the context of PES II, going after the presentation of research work and ending with a reflection on the PES I and II.
