Geometry is an important theme in children's learning, however it is sometimes overlooked by education. It’s from geometric concepts that in the early years, and informally, the child learn, to locate herself in space, has the perception of it and of all that surrounds her. Besides all this, Geometry appeals to the visual field, something that naturally attracts children, and is optimized the use of the computer, helping to improve learning in all ages. In this study, it was decided to try to understand what is the contribution of interactive applications as mediators in the learning of geometric concepts for pre-school children. To guide and to address this problem, some research questions were formulated, namely: (1) Which difficulties, in Geometry, are identified prior to use of interactive applications?; (2) Which difficulties, in Geometry, are identified during the use of interactive applications?; (3) Which difficulties, in Geometry, remain after the use of interactive applications?; (4) Which learning goals, in Geometry, are facilitated by the use of interactive applications?. To accomplish this study a set of tasks were defined, divided into three moments. It began with the pre-assessment, which aimed to analyse what knowledge children already had regardins Geometry. Following this set of tasks was the implementations of the didactic intervention, structured in stages according to the phases of van Hiele, centered on the use of the computer. At the end of the didactic intervention, the post assessment was made, with similar tasks to the pre-assessment, in order to verify the evolution and children’s learning. We chose a qualitative methodology following a case study design, centered in the work of two children. With the data analysis we observed the evolution from the group and the case studies, demonstrating learning, through the didactic intervention, in many of the contents addressed. However some difficulties were hard to overcome like representation and the use of adequate vocabulary in geometric contexts.
