A Educação artística na escola: Projeto de educação ambiental

Abstract

Numa sociedade cada vez mais globalizada e a atravessar desafios constantes na área do ambiente, é desejável que o currículo que os alunos desenvolvem na escola englobe temáticas que contribuam para uma efetiva educação ambiental. Para implementar este estudo, a metodologia seguida baseou-se na investigação-ação, centrada nas práticas da Educação Artística do 2º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. Desenvolveu-se numa turma do 6º ano de escolaridade, no Colégio do Minho, do concelho de Viana do Castelo, com a participação do professor/ investigador e de um professor colaborante. Os resultados desta investigação sugerem que, o recurso à técnica do “aprender fazendo”, contribui significativamente como ferramenta cognitiva para aquisição e mobilização de conceitos e um conhecimento mais profundo dos alunos sobre formas de preservação ambiental. No balanço das atividades observou-se nos alunos uma maior preocupação e responsabilidade com a temática do ambiente abrindo, dessa forma, perspetiva de uma alteração de comportamentos podendo através de gestos simples contribuir para uma maior sustentabilidade ambiental.

In an increasingly globalized society, and through constant challenges in the area of environment, it is desirable that the curriculum that students develop in school encompasses themes that contribute to effective environmental education. To implement this study, the methodology used was based on action-research, and was centered on artistic education practices in the 2nd cycle of basic education.
