Transmisão intergeracional dos bordados de Viana do Castelo

Abstract

O objetivo deste estudo consiste, maioritariamente em investigar se de facto existe transmissão intergeracional dos bordados de Viana do Castelo. Perceber assim, se as gerações mais novas sentem interesse pela arte de bordar, uma vez que é uma das tradições do seu meio envolvente. Por outro lado, também se pretende investigar se as gerações mais antigas sentem interesse e gosto em transmitir os conhecimentos/ensinamentos, para as gerações que serão o futuro. Como é do conhecimento de todos nós, as crianças “aprendem ao ver e ao fazer”, por isso é importante que para além de vivenciarem, experimentem. Daqui parte a ideia das atividades de investigação, nas quais se pretende que as crianças lidem diretamente com o bordado e isto só acontece se pusermos as crianças a bordar. A metodologia utilizada passa pela investigação ação, apoiada na observação das crianças, bem como na implementação de atividades relacionadas com o tema de estudo. Estas atividades foram muito importantes, pois foram muito úteis na recolha de dados, que permitiram retirar conclusões sobre todo o trabalho desenvolvido. O estudo foi realizado num jardim de infância pertencente ao concelho de Viana do Castelo. Como amostra, foi selecionado um grupo heterogéneo, composto por catorze crianças, (sete do sexo feminino e sete do sexo masculino), com idades compreendidas entre os quatro e cinco anos.

The aim of this study consists mainly in investigating whether in fact there is intergenerational transmission of Viana do Castelo embroidery. Understand, if the younger generations feel interest in the embroidery art, since it is one of the traditions of their surroundings. On the other hand, it is also intended to investigate whether older generations feel interest and pleasure in transmitting knowledge / teachings for the generations who are the future. As is well known to us all, children "learn seeing and doing," so it is important that in addition to watch and learn, they experience. From here the idea of research activities, in which we want the children to deal directly with embroidery and this only happens if we put the kids to embroider. The methodology involves the action research, based on observation of children, as well as the implementation of activities related to the study subject. These activities were very important because they were very helpful in collecting data that allowed us to withdraw conclusions about all the developed work. The study was accomplished in a kindergarten of the Viana do Castelo municipality. As a sample, it was selected a heterogeneous group, composed by fourteen children, (seven females and seven males), aged between four and five years old.
