Potenciais contributos da celebração do Carnaval para a promoção da educação artística e patrimonial

Abstract

A presente investigação ação foi desenvolvida no contexto educativo cabo-verdiano, 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, na Escola Olinda Silva numa turma composta, (3º e 4º anos, alunos dos 8 aos 11 anos de idade), período da tarde, em Madeiral, concelho de São Vicente, Cabo Verde. O estudo tem por objetivo propiciar mudanças nas práticas pedagógicas vigentes permitindo aos envolvidos, doze alunos e professora investigadora da referida escola, estabelecer uma ligação entre as três áreas de expressões (Dramática, Musical e Plástica) para a Educação Artística, aprofundar conhecimentos que envolve as áreas de Educação Artística e Patrimonial, com fraca exploração a nível nacional, estabelecer relações humanas e culturais com o grupo Carnavalesco de animação, Portelinha, em Fonte Inês. A abordagem a estas temáticas contribui para aproximar as comunidades de Madeiral e Fonte Inês levando os alunos na tomada de consciência de si mesmo e do outro durante a implementação de ações pedagógicas e culturais para a construção do conhecimento, no sentido de compreender até que ponto pode contribuir para que os alunos de escolas rurais, tais como a escola Olinda Silva poderão aumentar a sua participação nas manifestações culturais da ilha. Este estudo visando mudanças pedagógicas decorreu no ano letivo 2016/2017 (dezembro a julho) pretendeu afirmar a cultura local propiciando experiências e conhecimentos em brincadeiras locais que foram exploradas durante o Carnaval e na disciplina de Educação Artística valorizando assim o património local, revelando potenciais contributos da celebração do Carnaval para a promoção da Educação Artística e Patrimonial na cidade do Mindelo. Concluiu-se que é fundamental rever a formação inicial dos professores em Educação Artística, incentivar e realizar investigações que valorizem a Educação Artística e Patrimonial bem como reconhecer o Carnaval como grande potencial para a experimentação e exploração dos conteúdos delineados no currículo nacional podendo ser replicada noutros níveis de ensino contribuindo para uma sociedade com sujeitos mais cultos e interventivos.

The present research action was developed in the Cape Verdean educational context, 1st Cycle of Basic Education, in the Olinda Silva School in a group composed, (3rd and 4th years, students from 8 to 11 years old), afternoon, in Madeiral, municipality of São Vicente, Cape Verde. The aim of this study is to promote changes in the pedagogical practices in force, allowing the participants, twelve students and researcher of the mentioned school, to establish a link between the three areas of expression (Dramatic, Musical and Plastic) for artistic education, to deepen knowledge that involves areas of artistic and heritage education, with poor exploitation at national level, establish human and cultural relations with the carnival group of animation, Portelinha, in Fonte Ines. The approach to these themes contributes to bring the communities of Madeiral and Fonte Ines closer together, making students aware of themselves and others during the implementation of pedagogical and cultural actions for the construction of knowledge in order to understand the extent to which to contribute so that the students of rural schools, such as the school Olinda Silva can increase their participation in the cultural manifestations of the island. This study aimed at pedagogical changes took place in the academic year 2016/2017 (December to July), intended to affirm the local culture, providing experiences and knowledge in local games that were explored during Carnival and in the discipline of artistic education, thus valuing the local heritage, revealing potential contributions of the celebration of the carnival for the promotion of artistic and patrimonial education in the city of Mindelo. It was concluded that it is fundamental to review the initial training of teachers in art education, to encourage and carry out research that values artistic and heritage education, as well as to recognize Carnival as a great potential for experimentation and exploration of the contents outlined in the national curriculum and can be replicated in others levels of education contributing to a society with more educated and interventions.
