igual modo o clima local.
Growing global awareness of the problems caused by the use of non-renewable and heavily polluting energy sources, as well as the high energy dependency, led to the establishment of objectives to reduce energy consumption in buildings and the use of passive solutions and renewable energies. One of the major issues regarding the passive performance of buildings is the urban form, which affects all systems and all species in urban context and influences solar gains, from direct radiation to diffuse radiation, also affecting the local climate. Solar radiation is an important variable in thermal comfort, influencing the heat gains of the building in addition to promoting natural lighting. This work addresses sustainability issues of the urban environment, in a perspective of interaction between urban forms and gains by solar radiation. Through the use of existing models of urban forms, already used in other contexts, as well as the modeling software Revit Solar Analysis, a relation between solar gains in the buildings envelope and indicators of urban form is studied and established. Thus, it is intended to demonstrate how the urban form influences the solar gains, contributing to a significant reduction of energy consumption in buildings. This study will allow to anticipate as early as in the preliminary design phase the resolution of potential problems caused by the buildings form, optimizing the radiation gains in an urban area, by adjusting the layout of the urban typology. |
