Dinâmicas estruturais e organizacionais da sociedade desportiva

Abstract

O presente estudo teve como propósito caracterizar a organização e as dinâmicas de estruturas profissionais de futebol em Portugal e Espanha, analisando a relação existente entre os departamentos de futebol profissional e de formação, através da observação e análise das características estruturais e dos relacionamentos interdepartamentais existentes. Recorreu-se a entrevistas semiestruturadas a 4 dirigentes de clubes profissionais de futebol portugueses e 1 dirigente desportivo de um clube profissional de futebol espanhol. Os dados foram analisados através da análise de conteúdo (Bardin, 2008), tendo as categorias sido definidas a priori e a posteriori. O software QSR Nvivo 12 foi utilizado na codificação das entrevistas. Através desta análise foi possível constatar que, na atualidade dos clubes, procura-se assegurar uma organização estrutural, sustentada no conhecimento, experiência e habilitações dos seus colaboradores. Ademais, estabelecem padrões de comunicação e de delegação de tarefas, procuram ser inovadores e evidenciam a importância do trabalho em equipa. As decisões estratégicas são colegiais e identificámos uma aposta clara na formação de jovens jogadores. Os resultados permitiram concluir que temas como a formação contínua, ou a avaliação de desempenho, não se encontram estabelecidos de uma forma estruturada em algumas das sociedades desportivas sobre as quais incidiu o presente estudo. De igual forma, não se afigurou totalmente claro o processo de comunicação, partilha metodológica e de conhecimento entre departamento profissional e formação. Em alguns clubes, parece notório que existe margem de progressão no que concerne à eficácia e operacionalidade da comunicação do jogador de elite. Neste conspecto, apesar da entidade formadora assumir um papel de relevo naquilo que às intenções concerne, carece ainda de maior efetividade de aplicação em contexto prático. Por último, existe uma definição prévia do perfil de treinador para o clube, ainda que não exista uma concordância por parte dos inquiridos, de que o papel da formação, assuma decisiva importância na escolha desse perfil.

The purpose of this study was to characterize the organization and the dynamics from professional football structures in Portugal and Spain, analyzing the relationship between the professional football department and the youth department, through the observation and analysis of structural characteristics and existing interdepartmental relationships. Semistructured interviews were conducted with 4 portuguese professional football club’s sports managers and 1 spanish professional soccer club sports manager. Data were analyzed through content analysis (Bardin, 2008), and the categories were defined a priori and posteriori. The QSR Nvivo 12 software was used to encode the interviews. Through this analysis it was possible to verify that, at the club’s present time, it is tried to ensure a structural organization, based on the knowledge, experience and qualifications of its collaborators. In addition, they establish standards of communication and delegation of tasks, try to be innovative and show the importance of working as a team. The strategic decisions are collegial, and we have identified a clear bet on the youth academy players. The results allowed to conclude, in some of the sports societies on which the present study focused, that subjects such as continuous formation or performance evaluation, are not established in a structured way. Likewise, did not appear totally clear, that the communication process, methodological and knowledge sharing between professional and youth departments. In some clubs, it seems obvious that there is an open space for progression as regards the effectiveness and operability of the elite player's communication. In this respect, although the training entity plays a significant role in what concerns the intentions, it still lacks the most effective application in a practical context. Lastly, there is a previous definition of the coach profile for the club, although there is no agreement on the part of the respondents that the role of the coaching is of decisive importance in the profile selection.
