Desenvolvimento de um layout para um armazém de uma empresa de injeção de plástico

Abstract

O atual clima de crescimento económico leva as empresas a reconhecerem na área da logística o principal motor das cadeias de valor modernas uma vez que, independentemente, do setor em que operam é fundamental garantir a eficiência das suas operações através da sintonia entre o armazenamento e a distribuição para responder às necessidades de forma rápida e eficiente. Neste sentido, surgiu o presente projeto por forma a colmatar uma necessidade da empresa CPLAS, dedicada à produção de pequenos componentes por injeção de plástico, que irá construir novas instalações para fazer face ao seu crescimento e poder responder à crescente procura que enfrenta no mercado. A necessidade depreende-se com o reconhecimento demonstrado pela empresa da necessidade do desenvolvimento de um layout eficiente para o novo armazém dessa empresa e definição sobre a aquisição dos equipamentos de armazenagem e movimentação necessários à sua atividade e respetiva sinalização de segurança do mesmo. Com base na necessidade, foram recolhidos dados relativos aos fluxos de materiais tendo sido submetidos à Análise ABC. Posteriormente com a ajuda de uma equipa multidisciplinar desenvolveu-se a afetação das diversas referências por forma a minimizar todos os recursos envolvidos nas deslocações de matérias-primas e produto acabado. Durante o desenvolvimento foi tido em conta o investimento necessário bem como o potencial de expansão do armazém por forma a responder às expectativas da empresa. Findo o desenvolvimento do projeto em voga, verificou-se a concretização dos objetivos inicialmente propostos e apresentou-se à CPLAS esse mesmo projeto que obteve de forma clara a sua aprovação para implementação. Foram, ainda no decorrer do desenvolvimento deste trabalho, detetadas algumas lacunas no projeto arquitetónico, tendo sido identificadas e indicadas possíveis soluções. Além disso, apresentam-se algumas situações passíveis de desenvolvimento futuro visando sempre a eficiência e eficácia do novo armazém da CPLAS.

The current climate of economic growth leads companies to recognize in the area of logistics as the main driver of modern value chains since, regardless of the sector in which they operate, it is essential to ensure the efficiency of their operations by tuning storage and distribution to meet needs quickly and efficiently. In this sense, the present project emerged in order to meet a need of the company CPLAS, dedicated to the production of small components by plastic injection, which will build new facilities to meet its growth and be able to respond to the growing demand it faces in the market. The need is demonstrated by the company's recognition of the need to develop an efficient layout for its new warehouse and definition on the acquisition of the storage and handling equipment needed for its activity and its security signaling. Based on the need, data regarding material flows were collected and submitted to ABC Analysis. Subsequently, with the help of a multidisciplinary team, the various references were developed in order to minimize all the resources involved in the movement of raw materials and finished product. During the development the necessary investment was taken into account as well as the warehouse expansion potential in order to meet the company's expectations. After the development of the project in vogue, it was verified the achievement of the objectives initially proposed and presented to CPLAS the same project that clearly obtained its approval for implementation. During the development of this work, some gaps in the architectural project were detected, and possible solutions were identified and indicated. In addition, some situations are presented that can be developed in the future, always aiming at the efficiency and effectiveness of the new CPLAS warehouse.
