Taxa de vingamento e monda manual de frutos em cultivares regionais de macieiras

Abstract

O presente artigo, descreve nas secções introdutórias a história e biologia da maçã e a importância de variedades regionais na biodiversidade. Este último aspeto foi estudado observando o número de corimbos por árvore em oito variedades locais e, em seguida, caracterizou-se uma série de parâmetros fenológicos e produtivos da macieira da variedade Porta-da-Loja. O estudo envolveu a análise dos seguintes parâmetros: I) relação entre número de corímbos e frutos, II) tamanho de 10 maçãs em dois ramos de cada árvore (avaliado de 15 dias em 15 dias), III) número de frutos por corimbo, IV) produção de frutos por planta (kg) e V) produtividade (t / ha). Realizou-se também a análise crítica dos dados obtidos a partir desses parâmetros entre árvores que foram mondadas e árvores não sujeitas a esta técnica. Além disso, é importante enfatizar que os resultados obtidos no presente trabalho mostraram que a monda das árvores é uma técnica vantajosa e, portanto, pode ser aplicada pelos produtores de maçãs da Porta-da-Loja, com o objetivo de otimizar a sua qualidade e lucro.

The present paper addresses in its introductory sections the history of apples and the importance of biodiversity. This last aspect was studied by observing the fruit set in 8 local varieties followed then by aiming the focus of this work to the characterization of phenological and productive parameters of the apple tree of the “Porta-da-Loja” variety. The study comprised the analysis of the following parameters I) fruit set: relationship between number of corymbs and fruits, II) size of 10 apples in two branches of each tree (evaluated each 15 days), III) number of fruits per corymb IV) production of fruits per plant (kg), V) productivity (t / ha) were also parameters examined. A critical analysis from the data provided from these parameters was made between trees that were thinned to trees that were not. Furthermore its important to emphasise that the results achieved in the present work showed that thinning of trees is an advantageous technique and thus can be applied by apple “Porta-da-Loja” producers in order to optimize their quality and profit.
