O papel da expressão plástica no contexto da educação formal: o contributo do serviço social

Abstract

O presente estudo aborda as discussões sobre a questão da arte e sua aproximação com o serviço social, a incidir sobre o desenvolvimento das competências artísticas das crianças, dos 6 aos 12 anos, na escola Maria de Fátima Correia Baessa, da Cidade de Pedra Badejo, e descreve algumas manifestações culturais, demonstrando atitudes de interesse, respeito e participação face ao ensino da arte. Foi utilizada uma abordagem e metodologia qualitativa, associada ao estudo de caso que permite aproximar a complexidade da questão de partida e objetivos da investigação. A recolha de dados é feita através de entrevistas semi-diretivas e análise documental (documentos, ofícios e legislação). O conjunto de entrevistas semi-diretivas realizado aos professores e alunos teve como objetivo geral especificar, clarificar, bem como aprofundar alguns dados sobre a opinião dos professores e alunos acerca da educação artística nas classes do Ensino Básico Obrigatório, (EBO). A análise dos dados é desenvolvida através do cruzamento da informação proveniente de entrevistas semi-diretivas aos professores da instituição em estudo assim como a análise documental. Para tal, optamos por entrevistar três (3) professores e treze (13) alunos da escola em estudo. A recolha de dados empíricos foi efetuada em outubro 2018, através de observação direta da prática docente, nas salas de aula e inquérito por questionário.

This study deals with the discussions about the art issue and its approach to social work, focusing on the development of children's artistic skills, from 6 to 12, at the Maria de Fátima Correia Baessa School, in the city of Pedra Badejo, and describes some cultural manifestations, demonstrating attitudes of interest, respect and participation in the teaching of art. It was used a qualitative approach and methodology, associated to the case study that allows to approach the complexity of the starting point and objectives of the investigation. Data collection is done through semi-directional interviews and documentary analysis (documents, offices and legislation). The set of semi-directive interviews carried out with teachers and students had as general objective to specify, clarify, as well as to deepen, some data on the opinion of teachers and students about the artistic education in the classes of Compulsory Basic Education (EBO). The analysis of the data is developed by cross-referencing information from semi-directive interviews to the teachers of the institution under study as well as the documentary analysis. For this, we chose to interview three (3) teachers and thirteen (13) students from the school under study. The collection of empirical data was carried out in October 2018, through direct observation of the teaching practice, to the classrooms and questionnaire survey.
