Abstract

Maria do Rosário Pedreira undresses the suffering of feminine love, in a cross between inevitability and pride. Her work is not intended to answer to the enigma of passion, but instead it offers a brave perspective on abandoning and rebuilding the sentimental landscape that will once again be devastated. The emotional scenery in the poetics of Maria do Rosário Pedreira allows the creation of a landscape metaphor that finds in the confessional and rogatory tone of the verses, its primordial expression. In fact, it assembles the materialization of the melancholic landscape, latter expressed in physical spaces, and in the establishment of the relational structure between the self and the other.
