| Abstract: | Blockchain-based applications are already being used for countless applications that support new goals in organizations and society at large. In this chapter, the authors will survey existing blockchain-based applications according to four quadrants: economic; social; environmental; and governmental/organizational transparency. The chapter also details several cases, spanning one or more of the identified quadrants, namely solutions for food products traceability, sustainability and circular economy, product dematerialization (NFTs and Digital Twins), cryptocurrencies, and others. |
