dc.description.abstractThis article explores a materialist approach to education, emphasising tangible structures – tools, technologies, and organizational frameworks – in shaping learning rather than focusing on symbolic representations or pre-existing knowledge. We illustrate this by applying DevOps principles in a Project Management course. DevOps, an approach rooted in the material realities of the tech industry (efficiency, collaboration, continuous delivery), integrates development and operations through automation and shared practices. Our teaching-learning experience embedded project planning within the DevOps workflow, using constant feedback and practical, problem-solving projects. Student teams developed, deployed, and monitored systems, reflecting on theoretical foundations during DevOps ceremonies. The final student pitches highlighted the impact of this experience on their academic and professional growth.pt_PT
