As Linhas e as cores definem o que sinto

Abstract

O presente relatório intitula-se “As linhas e as cores definem o que sinto” e centra- se na análise das atividades e comportamentos das crianças enquanto desenham e pintam. Para tal, foi planeada uma investigação-ação que envolveu uma intervenção curricular com cinco atividades de expressão plástica. A observação in loco e posterior análise das respostas artísticas e verbais das crianças, assim como as entrevistas informais, serviram de base à recolha de dados deste relatório. A amostra é constituída por catorze crianças, com idades compreendidas entre os quatro e os cinco anos dum jardim-de-infância do Concelho de Viana do Castelo. Como resultados mais pertinentes salientam-se os seguintes: as crianças reagiram de forma positiva às atividades propostas; a grande maioria revelou grande entusiasmo ao desenhar e pintar, o que leva a verificar a necessidade de continuar a aprofundar projetos futuros sobre o uso destas e de outras estratégias de abordagem curricular em Expressão Plástica e a formação continuada de professores nesta área de conhecimento. Outros estudos idênticos poderão confirmar e permitir a generalização dos resultados aqui apresentados.

The present report is entitled “The lines and the colours define what I feel”, and is focused on the analysis of the activities and behaviours of children while they are drawing and painting. As such, it was planned an investigation-action that involved curricular intervention on five activities of plastic expression. The observation in loco and posterior analysis of children`s artistic and verbal answers, as well as the informal interviews, served as base for the gathering of data for this report. The sample is made of fourteen children, with ages between four and five years old from a kinder-garden in the city of Viana do Castelo. The most relevant results are presented as follows: the children reacted in a positive way to the activities given; a great majority revealed a great enthusiasm to drawing and painting, which leads to verify the necessity of continuing to deepen future projects about the use of this and others curricular approach strategies in Plastic Expression as well as the continued training of teachers in this area of knowledge. Other identical studies may confirm and allow the generalization of the results presented here.
