A Interculturalidade como ponto de partida para a interdisciplinaridade

Abstract

O presente relatório foi realizado no âmbito da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada II (PES II), inserida no Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1º ciclo do Ensino Básico. A prática profissional foi desenvolvida numa escola do 1º ciclo do Ensino Básico no distrito de Viana do Castelo, numa turma do 2º ano de escolaridade ao longo de quatro meses. O projeto de investigação desenvolvido centrou-se na área do Meio – Social, projeto este que se intitulou “A interculturalidade como ponto de partida para a interdisciplinaridade: um estudo numa turma do 2º ano de escolaridade”. Este estudo incidiu em 15 alunos e teve como objetivo perceber de que forma este grupo de crianças do 1º CEB encara as questões socioculturais relacionadas com outros povos e culturas. Assim sendo, foram definidas as seguintes questões de investigação: 1) Que perceções apresentam os alunos sobre outras culturas?; 2) De que modo as atividades desenvolvidas envolvendo outras culturas influenciam as aprendizagens dos alunos?; 3) Que balanço se pode fazer do projeto desenvolvido tendo em conta aspetos como a empatia e o respeito pela diversidade cultural? Tendo em conta o objeto deste estudo, optou-se por uma metodologia de investigação qualitativa. A recolha de dados foi realizada através de um questionário implementado aos alunos – fase de diagnóstico, seguiu-se a fase de intervenção onde se desenvolveram as atividades junto da turma e por fim, a fase da análise dos resultados. Os resultados deste estudo revelaram que efetivamente o interesse, respeito e empatia demonstrado pelas crianças por outros países e seus povos é notório e significativo. Isto deve-se, não só pela sociedade globalizada de hoje em que vivemos mas também pela sensibilização e informação a que os mais novos hoje em dia têm acesso desde muito cedo. Neste sentido, este estudo procurou estimular e desencadear curiosidade e o querer saber mais acerca de outras culturas, do património mundial, bem como da sua valorização. Revelaram também, que a interdisciplinaridade e a motivação como forma de lecionar é sem dúvida uma mais-valia no processo ensino-aprendizagem.

This report was carried out within the scope of the Supervised Teaching Practice II (PES II), inserted in the Master's Degree in Pre-School Education and Teaching of the 1st cycle of Basic Education. The professional practice was developed in a school of the 1st cycle of Basic Education in the district of Viana do Castelo, in a class of the 2nd year of schooling over four months. The research project developed focused on the area of the Social-Media, a project that was entitled "Interculturality as a starting point for interdisciplinarity: a study in a class of the 2nd year of schooling". This study focused on 15 students and aimed to understand how this group of children of the 1st CEB faces the socio-cultural issues related to other peoples and cultures. Thus, the following research questions were defined: 1) What perceptions do students present about other cultures? 2) In what way do the activities developed involving other cultures influence the students' learning? 3) What balance can be made of the project developed taking into account aspects such as empathy and respect for cultural diversity? Taking into account the problem of this study, a qualitative research methodology was chosen. The data collection was carried out through a questionnaire implemented to the students - diagnosis phase, followed by the intervention phase where the activities were developed together with the group and finally, the phase of the analysis of the results. The results of this study revealed that the interest, respect and empathy shown by children by other countries and their peoples is indeed significant. This is due not only to the globalized society we live in today but also to the awareness and information that young people today have access to very early. In this sense, this study tried to stimulate and trigger curiosity and to want to know more about other cultures, of the world heritage, as well as of its valorization. Revealed too that interdisciplinarity and motivation as a way of teaching is undoubtedly an added value in the teaching-learning process.
