Portugal no 2.º CEB.
aprendizagem desta unidade curricular.
This report was developed within the scope of the curricular unit PES, complemented in the Master's Degree in Teaching of 1st CEB and Portuguese and History and Geography of Portugal in the 2nd CEB. This practice occurred in two educational contexts: the first moment in a 1st Cycle school and, and the second in a 2nd Cycle school. The summaries referring to the interventions in the contexts and their characterizations are presented in this report, as well as the research under study. The study was conducted with a 5th year class, in the subject of HGP, and its main objective was to understand the students' conceptions and perspectives regarding the learning of this curricular unit. In this sense, three research questions were defined, namely, (a) To what extent do students consider the subject of History and Geography of Portugal important for their education? (b) A creative teaching in History and Geography of Portugal distances or attracts students in the formation of this curricular area? (c) How to make the teaching of History and Geography of Portugal more attractive to the students' interest? Within this framework, tasks and activities were developed with students in order to obtain answers to the questions presented. Having this research, a qualitative and constructivist approach, we used data collection techniques such as the survey by printed questionnaire, direct observation and document analysis, the latter through audiovisual material (image and sound). We conclude the study by stating that the students' conceptions of HGP learning changed throughout the interventions due to the initiatives presented by the researcher. Throughout the investigative process, students were involved and enjoyed doing all the activities. Learning in a playful, constructivist, and participatory way awakened greater engagement, interest, and motivation for learning the subject. |
