Tendências no design de jóias : filigrana e arquitectura

Abstract

O presente trabalho pretende analisar as principais influências da arquitectura na joalharia e interligar estes dois campos de arte, através da análise de tendências da filigrana e da arquitectura na vertente do design de jóias. No decorrer desta pesquisa verificou-se que a principal tendência quer da arquitectura, quer da joalharia é a simplificação formal, concretizando simultaneamente objectos de grande valor artístico. Esta “desmaterialização de massa” admite formas mais puras, características da actual modernidade, a qual encerra em si objectos com vertentes mais práticas, decorrentes do mercado a que se destinam. Procurou-se conhecer as diferentes percepções de designers e arquitectos integrantes no processo de Design de Jóias. Esta investigação evidencia que existem vários aspectos comuns entre o design de jóias e a arquitectura; sendo que a grande interligação entre as duas artes se deve à conjugação (dentro das mesmas) de três factores principais: forma, beleza e funcionalidade. Estes elementos interligados correspondem ao sucesso de qualquer projecto. Num contexto visual, entre a arquitectura e a joalharia o único componente que se modifica é a escala do objecto, a qual corresponde a usos completamente distintos.

This paper aims to analyze the main influences of architecture in jewelry and link these two fields of art through tendencies analysis of filigree and architecture in the field of jewels design. During this research, the main tendency of either architecture or the jewelry was found to be the formal simplification, putting both objects of great artistic value. This "mass dematerialization" admits the purest forms, characteristics of the current modernity, which encloses objects with more practical aspects, arising from the intended market. We sought to understand the different perceptions of designers and architects in the Jewelry Design process. This research shows that there are many commonalities between jewelry design and architecture, and the great link between these two arts is due to the combination of three main factors: fashion, beauty and functionality. These interconnected elements correspond to the success of any project. In a visual context, between architecture and jewelry, the only component that changes is the scale of the object, which corresponds to completely different uses.
