Ler bem para escrever melhor!

Abstract

A interação entre a competência da leitura e da escrita ao longo do ensino-aprendizagem dos alunos tem vindo a ser cada vez mais imprescíndivel no desenvolvimento intelectual e pessoal dos discentes. Desta forma, considerou-se pertinente estudar o desenvolvimento da produção escrita a partir da leitura de obras de literatura infantil. Este projeto foi desenvolvido no âmbito da unidade curricular Prática de Ensino Supervisionada II, aquando da regência da disciplina de língua portuguesa. Inicialmente faziam parte do estudo um grupo de dezasseis alunos do 6º ano de escolaridade, integrando o projeto Papa Letras, e posteriormente, visto que este se revelou insuficiente, houve a necessidade de se criar um outro projeto, intitulado Diz-me o que lês, dir-te-ei o que escreves!, que se alargou às restantes turmas, ficando assim, o estudo com uma amostra de cinquenta participantes do mesmo nível de escolaridade. Ambos os projetos tinham como objetivos criar e fomentar hábitos de escrita; desenvolver a produção escrita através da leitura; descobrir e valorizar o gosto para a escrita, sendo que este último também estava associado à vertente do desenvolvimento da competência da leitura. Para a recolha dos dados desta investigação recorreu-se a um conjunto de instrumentos, tais como a observação, os documentos, as gravações áudio e vídeos, os registos fotográficos e os inquéritos, que traduziram informações e registos fundamentais para a análise de todo o estudo. A recolha de todos estes materiais mostrou que inicialmente os aprendentes não se sentiam à vontade com a expressão escrita, que precisavam de motivação para desenvolverem esta competência e os projetos que se criaram foram fundamentais para despertar e estimular nestes alunos a curiosidade e o gosto por este domínio. O trabalho coletivo que se realizou nos domínios da leitura e da escrita contribuiu para o desenvolvimento dos alunos na sua formação académica.

The interaction between reading and writing skills all along of the students’ teaching and learning process is becoming more and more essential in the intellectual and personal development of the subjects. In this way, studying the development of written production by reading infantile literature works was considered pertinent. This project was developed in the scope of the Teaching Practice II, together with the conduction of Portuguese language subject. The study covered initially a group of sixteen students of the 6th grade integrating the Papa Letras (“Letter Eater”) project. Later it revealed itself as insufficient and another project - Tell me what you read, I will tell you what you write! – was be created. This project was extended to the other classes so that the study was constituted by a sample of fifty participants. The objectives of both projects were the creation and incitation of writing, the development of writing by reading, the discovery and valorisation of the writing pleasure, although the last one also was associated to the development slope of the reading ability. To collect the data for this investigation, we turned to a lot of instruments as observation, documentation, audio and video recordings, photograph registers and inquiries, which transmitted information and fundamental registers for the analysis of the hole study. Collecting all this material showed that the learners were not comfortable with the writing. They needed motivation to develop this skill. The projects which were created were essential to awake and stimulate in the students the curiosity and pleasure for this area. The collective work done in the area of reading and writing contributed to the development of academic training of the students.
