Abstract: | As plataformas de satélite de deteção remota fornecem informações temporais e espaciais
2019.
técnicas (devido a resolução espacial) e antropogénicas (praticas culturais). Remote sensing satellite platforms provide useful temporal and spatial information for viticulture, with a growing interest in their use. The objective of this study is to identify the possibilities, with images from the Sentinel-2 satellite available free of charge and with frequent revisit times, to monitor the growth of the vine at a regional scale, in two sub-regions of the Alto Minho, during the growing season of the year 2019. The methodology used is based on the use of multispectral information and analysis tools available in ArcGis for the study of spatial variables, and on the use of the R programming language aimed at modeling and analyzing data. The first approach of this work is based on the methodological development for modeling the phenological dynamics of the vineyard from the calculation of Vegetation Indices (IV) with data provided by the Sentinel 2 (S2) satellite. A second approach is based on its application to selected vineyard plots in the Lima sub-region and Monção Melgaço sub-region, where the classification algorithm was initially applied for the edaphoclimatic characterization of the region, with the main objective of plot allocation to the different edaphoclimatic contexts defined for the Alto Minho region. The results revealed that it is effectively possible to monitor the Alto Minho agroecological units through the analysis of time series, although with some technical (due to spatial resolution) and anthropogenic (cultural practices) limitations. |
